Konadu Foundation is a intenationally recognized community organization that believes in eradicating poverty through formal and informal Education, agribusiness, woman empowerment, discovering of young talents and converting talents into professions. Konadu Foundation restores hope to the underprivileged in the community by giving them quality basic education. We bring the world closer to the rural communities by given them an access to technology such us computer literacy, Internet usage and other ICT tools. Konadu Foundation Ghana is a non-religious, non-political organization.
The Konadu Basic School (Formal Education)
The school is located in Tanoboase a community on the Tamale to Techiman highway. Techiman the capital town of Bono East region. We provide free and quality education to nine communities. Most of the people in and around are mainly pisent farmers and do not generate enough money to educate their children in the city to access the best school.
Konadu Foundation Ghana came in to serve children who are left out from the existing Ghana education system and give them an opportunity to be educated in the Konadu Basic School. Full scholarships are given to all the underprivileged and others who can afford payment to support the funding of the school. Both the Privileged and the less privileged are enroll in the school to avoid stigmatization.
Konadu Basic School is among the top ten schools in the Techiman North District. We have a computer lab with free Wi-Fi which gives the students internet access and to be part of the global village. There is a library with all kinds of books based on your grade.
Konadu School has competent teachers who teach at all levels of the academic syllabus from Preschool through Basic 1 to Basic 7 (Daycare, primary to JHS) with an enrollment of about 200.

Achievements
The school was started with two kids and now has over three hundred (300) students. Konadu Basic School has educated about four hundred (400) students in the last ten years. Three batches of students have successfully written the BECE and are continuing their education in the SHS.
Staff
Konadu Basic School can boast of 19 staffs both teaching and non-teaching staff working hard to impact in the life of our lovely students. We also have other part time teaching staffs, consultants and managers who work hand in hand to help “change lives”. We are also proud of all the Volunteers home and abroad who make time to share their time, skills and money to drive the dream of making the world a better place to live.
Progress
Konadu Basic School started in a single room rented in town with about 25 kids in 2011 and later moved to another three uncompleted bedrooms without cement floors. The enrollment kept on growing so we started building classrooms with discarded car tires to contain the primary school. However, security for our books and teaching aids needed improvement.
The new Konadu School
The Konadu School has built one storey building all-in-one 6 units classrooms for the primary school with modern computer lab with full access to internet. It has a reading library with both foreign and local books. Also offices for the administration and axillaries like washrooms, sick bay and stores. It is the first of its kind in the district.
Borehole has been constructed to provide portable water for drinking, cooking, washrooms and among others. A biogas washroom has been constructed to improve the sanitation of the school, generate a bioenergy for cooking and to provide electricity.
